Paige sang “Against All Odds” tonight on American Idol top 11 and the judges were NOT fans of it. They felt it was ‘awful, the worst of the season and just plain bad’ The only thing Ellen could compliment was the fact that she didn’t fall in high heel shoes. Ouch! vote for paige to keep her in and help her make the tour! her number is 1-866-idols-02.

Randy- “Yo–listen, when I heard you were doing this song I thought it might not be a good look, might be a bit of a mess, but ya know what– you did alright with it! I liked it”
Ellen “I loved that you used the stage and you had great presence on stage”
Kara “For someone who was struggling with her voice this week you really hit some big notes, at times you got a little lost but the Paige that we fell in love with was working the stage”
Simon asked what was wrong with her voice and we then heard Paige weekly tell us she has laryngtis “taking that into consideration it was good! song was a bit generic– you still haven’t quite connected you need to find something that makes you more unique and contemporary.”

Keeping up a trend of many sweet and slow songs tonight Paige chose to sing Smile by Charlie Chaplin
The judges comments:
Randy- gave us his “oh no” laugh and then proceeded to tell her it just didn’t work. You have to be SO on your game to do that song and it just didn’t work at all.
Ellen-Felt that song is supposed to uplifting and instead it was sad and heavy and instead of shining and showing us who she is she chose the wrong song.
Kara felt Randy and Ellen had said it all already and tonight was not the night to do that.
Simon just wanted to repeat what everyone else said– it was a horrible chioce of song and the arrangment was something you would hear at the holiday inn. He called it a ‘peanut’ performance because this is the type of song people her in the background sitting at a bar eating peanuts. He feels she may be in trouble and this may be the end of the road for her.

Here were the judges comments after Paige took on Kelly Clarkson’s Walk Away
Randy-felt like this wasn’t the best song chioce, he thinks she has one of the best voices in the competition and this song was just a bit boring and he couldn’t hear her talent.
Ellen totally disagreed with Randy and said she LOVED it. She loved all the changes and felt she changed just enough to make it her own.
Kara (who co-wrote the song with Kelly) said she could see her having a hit with that song, she felt it was her area. However she felt Paige needs to listen more to the lyrics and sense the ‘anger’ or ’sadness’ and not always happy and perky performance.
Simon agreed with Randy and felt two weeks in a row she failed to pick the right song and next week if she’s here, she’s going to have to really nail it. She had a forgettable performance tonight.
