Kara “For someone who was struggling with her voice this week you really hit some big notes, at times you got a little lost but the Paige that we fell in love with was working the stage”

Simon asked what was wrong with her voice and we then heard Paige weekly tell us she has laryngtis “taking that into consideration it was good! song was a bit generic– you still haven’t quite connected you need to find something that makes you more unique and contemporary.”

Keeping up a trend of many sweet and slow songs tonight Paige chose to sing Smile by Charlie Chaplin

The judges comments:

Randy- gave us his “oh no” laugh and then proceeded to tell her it just didn’t work. You have to be SO on your game to do that song and it just didn’t work at all.

Ellen-Felt that song is supposed to uplifting and instead it was sad and heavy and instead of shining and showing us who she is she chose the wrong song.

Kara felt Randy and Ellen had said it all already and tonight was not the night to do that.

Simon just wanted to repeat what everyone else said– it was a horrible chioce of song and the arrangment was something you would hear at the holiday inn. He called it a ‘peanut’ performance because this is the type of song people her in the background sitting at a bar eating peanuts. He feels she may be in trouble and this may be the end of the road for her.
